Geek Gifts Under $20 for the Beirut Secret Santa Season

Are you the secret Santa of a total geek? Are you sort of confused about what to get them? Well that's alright, because we've got you covered. Below are four presents under $20 that are sure to please that one weird person from the office you got stuck Christmas shopping for. All of the following items are available at Gift Mania Collectables on Bliss Street, Hamra!

Thor's Hammer Mj√∂lnir Key Chain ($10-20)

For your comic-obsessed friends. We liked this one in particular, but there is a huge variety of other comic book, anime, and film-related key chains available. And when we say huge we actually mean gargantuan.

Rubik's Cube ($10-15)

This is always a good choice for a puzzle/game freak, and if you think they may already have the classic cube, you can choose from tens of other IQ game designs.

Game of Thrones Mystery Box ($15)

These super stylized mini figurines will make excellent desk-buddies. Everyone is a Game of Thrones fan nowadays, so you practically cannot go wrong with this one. The boxes are sealed, and each contains one random GoT character. This means less choosing pressure on you! Mystery boxes are also available from The Big Bang Theory, Marvel Comics, classic horror films, and more!

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Necklace ($15)

The wizardry and witchcraft craze is far from over with J.K. Rowling proving to be full of yet untold tales from the world of Harry Potter. There are even a few previously unreleased bits of Potter goodness coming out this Christmas! So treat your mates to a magical artifact from Hogwarts. Our favorite is the Deathly Hallows necklace, but you will find other pendants, key chains and some earrings. Even wands, robes and action figures!

Music Video Double Bill: Little Dragon [Nabuma Rubberband]

Currently, our favorite album is Little Dragon's Nabuma Rubberband. It took us a little while to get used to it since it was released back in May, but for the past few days it's been on repeat. Two of our favorite tracks off the album were given the Nabil treatment. The music videos to "Klapp Klapp" and "Pretty Girls" respectively tell a continuous, and very strange story. Zombies, beauty pageants, drug lords, and some more zombies towards the end. Need we say more? Of course if you watch more closely, you will notice there is also the semblance of a delicate love story somewhere amid all the voodoo and ritualistic bleeding and stuff. Check out the video to "Klapp Klapp" below (directed by Taylor Cohen) and if you like it, have a look at the sequel as well. Enjoy!
